A Montreal Staple Since 1995

Established in 1995 at the corner of Old Orchard Road and Monkland Avenue, the Monkland Tavern has become a cherished institution in the heart of NDG, Montreal.
Over the years, the Tavern has earned a reputation for its warm atmosphere, thoughtful hospitality, and expertly crafted dishes that blend classical and contemporary flavours, thanks to the vision and dedication of owners Barbara Irwin and Chef Josh Crowe.

Meet Executive Chef, Josh Crowe

Serving Timeless Roots with a Sustainable Twist

Sustainability is a pillar of Monkland Tavern’s ethos. The team actively works with local producers, regenerative farms, and eco-friendly suppliers to ensure that every dish reflects care for the environment. Additionally, The Tavern’s water purification system eliminates bottled water, providing guests with premium still and sparkling water while reducing waste.
